For someone spending time in the woods, its easy to confuse the map as the territory(especially if it comes wrapped in some elegant math). Finding alpha looks at the finance world from another remove, a meta analysis of how to look at things without being confused by the inherent noise in the world. The book is sufficiently broad without sacrificing the depth of the argument. Must read for anyone trying to understand how they are "generating alpha", as opposed to those who are looking for ways to generate alpha.
